Ab Circle Pro Reviews
Editors Thoughts… I have read through a lot of ab circle pro reviews on various different websites and most of the one’s I have read are generally in the favor of the machine, but some reviews on the ab circle pro remark that it is just a marketing thing and an expensive product to buy. So I would like to share my own view based on both research and experience. Everything has pros as well as cons, and nothing is as 100% perfect. So let’s take an objective look at the product.
The ab circle pro machine is becoming more and more popular these days among people who are keen to build their six pack abs. At first, it was developed in the US and then spread to other countries like New Zealand, Australia and India.
Does the ab circle pro really work? I have been a user of the ab circle pro for the last two years. I was crazy to develop my six pack abs right from my childhood. I tried lots of machines and products but never had much luck; to be honest I never really liked using any of them. I was more or less about to give up. Then, two years ago I thought I would give the ab pro circle thing a go and it has worked but not to the extent that you will necessarily see in the pictures that advertise it or any other ab machine device, I think we all realize that they are the best case scenarios that may well be possible to achieve if you use it a lot and stick to an incredibly strict diet, but one of the main reasons you can see the abs that you do on people who have stomachs like washing boards is partly because they have a pretty low body fat ratio, as well as having done exercises that target that particular muscle group.
The Ab circle pro does burn belly fat as a result of the cardio vascular element of the exercise and also targets the exact area you need to develop those muscles, so it does do both the things you need to do from an exercise perspective at the very least. It is a simple machine with two knee-pads to fit the knees on and two handles to grasp with the hands. When the ab circle pro user assumes this posture, he/she is ‘on all fours’. Assuming this position (knees on knee-pads and hands on the handles), the user rotates his/her legs side to side, like I say this gives cardio stimulation along with an abs workout. You also get a DVD and an eating manual when you buy the ab circle pro machine and this is the bit which most people probably over look, but the diet side is as important as the exercise itself. Without the healthy eating element no one is going to achieve the abs they desire, no one will be able to see them no matter how well developed they are because they will be hidden by a thick layer of blubber and if anything this is the area which I have fell slightly short on, I have got a pretty flat stomach now and you can see that I have abs, I do look pretty good even if I do say so myself, but to get that super ripped look that you see in the pictures I would have to be a fair bit stricter with the diet side of things, which I am not as good as I could be with as I still like the odd treat. But I think I still have a pretty presentable body now and am happy to take my top off at the beach.
Although the ab circle pro machine does give cardio vascular stimulation you can get stronger cardio stimulation by running, rowing, swimming and the inclusion of other exercises in addition to just using the machine. What I would do is use the ab pro circle mainly to target your abs for which it is a very good machine and see any aerobic cardio workout it provides as an extra bonus, then just top up your aerobic exercise with a run or session playing your favorite sport or something, that way as long as you as you stick to a relatively healthy eating plan you should start to see some pretty good results.
Let’s take a quick look at the pro’s and cons.
Pros:
- It works the abs, thighs and buns.
- It is portable and can be transported anywhere.
- DVD is there with it to guide its use as well as the nutrition guide.
- It is easy to use the ab circle pro in your own home.
- Many people find it a fun to use; I must admit I do quite like using it which hasn’t been the case with most ab exercise machines I have tried.
Cons:
- Some people say they have had to replace the knee pads after a high level of use, but you can easily order replacement parts.
- There is weight limit for the machine and very very heavy people may not be able to use it.
- Abs and thighs may get strained if you really over do it, so just be sensible.
- It’s not particularly cheap to buy the ab circle pro, some people don’t like the price, but I would say I have got my money’s worth, maybe it depends on how much you use it.
So there you are, I am sure you have probably read a number of ab circle pro reviews by now, I hope you have found mine useful and objective. The bottom line is it is a pretty good ab machine but like most exercise equipment you do have to actually use it and stick to a relatively healthy diet if you want it to work.

Good balanced review. It’s good that you warned people about the price and also emphasized the importance of diet and other forms of exercise. It makes it more believable. Thanks!
I agree. I also like the warning about a weight limit. At my heaviest I was very disappointed to find an exercise bike I bought wasn’t capable of taking my weight. Luckily I’ve lost a lot since then but I need to tone up now.
I am not overweight, but the trainer could be a very good mate forms of maintenance.
Thank you for the excellent description. I think the lesson of these machines combined with healthy food, will give very good results.
Love yourself and do not pity the money for health!
THANK YOU!
I’m so glad to see this review. I really, really wanted one of these! I saw one in a consignment shop and I was wondering if it worked. It would be a great adjunct to my running! Thanks for the review!
Excellent review! I actually do a lot of cardio exercises already, but I’ve got a little bit of a bulge around my middle that I’d like to get rid of. The ab circle pro might be the thing that helps with that!
Great review. Thank you for the pro and con list. Does anybody know how much the Ab Circle Pro weighs? I know it’s portable, but it looks kind of heavy. I travel a lot and I want to make sure it could easily go with me.
Since having a c-section two years ago, I have struggled with getting my abs back in shape. The Ab Circle Pro looks like it might be just the thing to help me. Thanks for the review!
Very good review! I do a bit of cardio but I’ve been putting off the crunches and abdominal exercises to develop the six pack that I really want. I may have to invest in this little beauty.
I can’t get on with the ab circle pro but that’s because I am lazy! Lol, I prefer liposuction, I know I am a lazy awful person.
Well you know the saying Lazy Girl no pain no gain, although I guess weight loss surgery is pretty painful too, so whichever way you look at it you are going to hurt.
I think workout equipment is a scam, well not a scam that’s a bit harsh just more of a waste of time, I never use anything I have brought, maybe that’s more my fault than anything else, but it’s just the way it’s been for me.
I do use my workout equipment but I am relatively well disciplined and like my routines. Once you get into a routine with something it just becomes second nature and that includes exercising.
I think it’s like anything else you buy, if you use it then it’s worth it but if you have no motivation then you are probably wasting your time and money.
This is too expensive for me. I will just run my ass around the block for free.
Running around the block is cheaper but it will do more for your legs than it will for your abs.
You have to do very specific exercises to work your abs properly, jogging won’t do it.
CV is very useful exercise for getting a flat stomach, but it won’t build abs it will just allow you to see them.
Not unless you do CV which works your abs too.
You need two elements to you ab workout, you need something to build the ab muscles and something to burn the fat, once you have done both these things enough you will have a stomach like a washing board.
I agree with you. There are people at my gym that never do any aerobic exercise, well not while I am around anyway. I prefer to do strength and muscle training at home, using the gym for access to treadmills and bikes that I couldn’t afford to buy myself.
LOL, I don’t want a stomach like a washing board just flat.
I agree flat stomachs look nice but when the abs are too harsh core they look a bit ugly.
It depends how defined the abs are, well defined abs look good on a man but slightly softer ones look best on a woman, the main thing is for women is not to go mad and overdo it.
A friend of mine has one of these and she says you can really feel the burn when you use it. I have been wanting one for almost two years now. I am in the process of remodeling a room to use as a workout room. Once that is complete I am going out and buying one. Thank you for the review it has just moved it closer to the top of my list.
My mother bought this last year and she claims it works, but I honestly haven’t seen any difference with her (maybe she’s not using it consistently). I personally have tried it when I went over to her house to visit her. The movement feels unnatural at first and I feel that it’s benefits are very limited. Still, nothing beats a good diet, cardio, and weight training when it comes to getting great abs and a toned body.
I bought one and used it for a while. It was working and I got really pumped and then….oh well. I’m hoping to get back into it soon.
I run every morning but now with the winter coming I need a way to work out in the house to stay fit. I don’t want to get out of shape. I’m curious of the Ab Circle Pro is going to help me out in that department.
The Ab Circle Pro sounds like it would be a great workout. It is nice to know all the pros and cons. It helps to make a more educated decision whether I want to buy it or not.
I’ve always thought the Ab Circle Pro looked like it would be fun to use. The twisting motion is one that’s always been good for toning abdominals so that’s nothing new, just the way the machine makes it easier is. The only thing holding me back is the price. I’m hoping to pick one up aftermarket, instead.
Wow, that has to be one of the most awkward looking and uncomfortable exercises I’ve seen in awhile. But honestly, I’d give it a go.
A friend of mine has one and I tried it out. It is really fun to use, and you definately feel the burn. Like alot of other people on here, I also feel the price is a little high. It’s not too high compared to the other excerising equipment, but it is a little high for the average person in this economy.
Chuck, I’m sure if you get pumped back up and focus on gaining energy and burning calories, you could enjoy your Ab Circle Pro again. Either that or at least knock the cob webs off of it, good luck.
Becky-I’m such an idiot! Was over at a neighbor’s oohing and aahing over his and I didn’t realize it was the same thing that was in my closet. For some reason I was thinking mine was a whole lot bigger and when I bought it I wasn’t interested in the back pain side of things and that’s all he talked about. Yes, I will bring it out again!
It looks like a a really great machine to keep trim and fit, but the price is really a bit prohibitive at the moment. Hopefully, I can be able to save money to get one next year.
This actually does work. In about three weeks of consistent use, I was able to get rid of my love handles. My abs have gone from flabby to just a little pudgy. Though not yet a six pack, it’s improvements nonetheless.
I always dislike it when it is a requirement to replace things on the equipment, like pads. I hope they are easy to find and inexpensive. I don’t want to spend a fortune just on upkeep.
If it can turn my rolls into packs then it’s definitely worth a try. What exactly is the weight limit by the way? I’m not overweight, but I’m a considerably large guy (6’8 and 300 lbs. to be exact). Does that thing come in the big and tall, or is it like a one size fits all?
I’m sure this can work for anybody who’s really devoted to using it every day, but I have a hard time believing it’ll really give me the overall results I want. Abs maybe, but what about the arms and legs. Then again it is called the AB circle pro not the OVERALL circle pro.
This can really do wonders with your abs, especially with the love handles. Couple this with a low carb diet and you’ll see the inches melting off.
My resolution for the coming year is to do more physical exercise. I am glad I came across this review, for my abs and stomach area are places that really need working out. Swimsuit season is just around the corner, so maybe I’ve still got time to get the old body into a little better shape. Thanks for an in-depth review of the machine.
Excellent review, thank you for the information you provided. I am particularly glad you included a comment about body fat ratio. Many people do not consider this in their expectations of the machine’s performance.
I appreciate the review. It’s nice to find one that sounds realistic instead of all the fake, “this-machine-is-all-you-ever-need” reviews posted just to try to get people to buy. I’m going to read more of your posts as I’ve been thinking about buying the Ab Circle Pro but couldn’t find any reviews that seemed to be from actual users until now.
I also appreciate the realistic notes of this review. Suzanne is quite correct that many people are sick of the fake reviews telling you that the new machines are all you will ever need to get a body like a super star.
This machine sounds like one I would love to own. I just had my stepper, rower and an old treadmill hauled off by someone on Freecycle. Now I’m ready to start investigating what I want next. I have Christmas money just waiting to plunk down on a machine to add some intensity to my workouts.
I definitely need some help in the areas, which this machine appears to help. This review has been very helpful in understanding what the machine can and cannot do.
I need to strengthen my core so maybe this would be good for me, does anyone know what the guarantee is?
It’s a good thing that when you purchase this exercise machine, you also receive an eating manual. Achieving nice flat abs is a result of a combination of proper diet and exercise. I know some people who exercise a lot but fail to watch what they eat and vice versa.
I can’t really be bothered with working my abs, to me that’s more of a poser thing.
LOL, in some ways abs are indeed a bit of a cosmetic thing, I guess we all have a vain side, still there are many benefits to strengthening your core as part of your overall training. Thanks for the comments and please keep them coming.
I’ve often wondered about this product. I like that its easy to take with you if you go somewhere. I also like that it has a DVD that gives you some nutritional information. I believe that with all the work in the world if you don’t eat right, you won’t get results.
Even if you aren’t looking to get a six-pack effect, strengthening and toning your core is always beneficial. Not only do you look better but it makes your back stronger. The goal should always be to tone your entire body and build lean muscle to help burn fat.
Exactly. My chiropractor has recommended that I address my abs in order to get my back healthy again. Flabby abs strain the back muscles and are the cause of some back problems. That is why I am researching products such as the Ab Circle Pro.
Oh, wow, darkdennis! I never even thought about that aspect before but I get a lot of backaches lately. I would not at all be surprised that it’s at least partly due to the spare tire I’ve been toting around for the past few years.
I would be afraid of working out too much, too quick and hurting myself. Does this ab product give you great directions and instructions so you know how much to do? I’ve always doubted products that are supposed to give you rock-hard abs in a certain time period.
I like very much that you don’t paint a pie-in-the-sky picture of the Ab Circle Pro. Instead, you give the pros and the cons in a realistic way, so we can see for ourselves if this might be the machine for us. I’ve wondered after seeing the commercials as it looks like fun. Anything that makes a workout more fun is a great thing to me!
Thank you for such an in-depth and close up review of the Ab Circle Pro ab machine. Hearing from someone who has purchased it and used it is far better than just another sales pitch.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience of using the Ab Circle Pro machine. I’ve seen adverts for it late at night when I can’t sleep. I’ve never felt compelled to buy it, partly because it felt too promotional. I like your down-to-earth explanation of it.
Good abs help the whole of your body.
Picking up an an circle pro 2 soon. Can’t wait to get into it. Thanks for the great advice. Nice site.
People need to know that these machines and exercise equipment are not going to do the trick alone. You have to diet. A piece of equipment is not going to make your abs rock hard if there is a bunch of flubber on them.
Just what I need! I’ve been dying for a wash-board abs since giving birth to five kids. But seeing how expensive the product is, I’m not even sure if I can afford it right now. But Micah is right, these exercise machines are not going to work if you don’t watch what you eat or if you keep putting off that exercise schedule.
I like it that when you buy the machine, you also get an eating manual. If you want to be serious in achieving a toned and sculpted abdomen, focus not only on what moves your muscles do but also on what your body ingests.
I like the pros and cons in the review. The product looks fun and easy if you want to work your abs. However, I hear the product is expensive. I don’t want to buy more pricey exercise equipment, use it for a short time and then discard it.
I think that is why reviews like this are important. If you make an educated decision, then you are more likely to stick to it then if you just see a commercial for a machine and buy it on impulse.
This is exactly what I need to get me motivated into whipping these abs into shape. I love how you listed the pros and cons, but I do think this machine is at least something I can aspire to own. It’s a beautiful day. I’m going to go for a run right now.
I love that this machine is supposed to work not only your abs, but your butt and thighs. Usually these machines only target one area of your body – not 3. I don’t own one yet but after reading all of this I am thinking about getting one.
I absolutely hate doing stomach exercises, and so does my stomach! But I wouldn’t mind exercising with a machine that made it easier. The Ab Circle Pro looks like it does that. I know it would still be work, but it can’t be as torturous as sit-ups.
I’ve been using mine for a couple of weeks and I’m really happy with it. As is mentioned in the article it’s quite easy to go a bit mad at the start, but if you approach it sensibly and build up your time each day the muscle soreness is manageable.
Good to hear that you can order replacement parts like kneepads. Does anyone know how much the kneepads cost and how fast they wear out if you’re using the machine daily? I like to take into account operational costs when deciding to purchase new equipment.
