Ab Circle Pro Machine Review

by Sally James on August 27, 2011

As you will discover in this ab circle pro review, the Ab Circle Pro is one of the newer workout machines available for home use, and targets the abs without you having to lay on your back, strain your neck or do hours of sit ups and crunches. Even though there are many exercise machines available, this particular machine is relatively easy to set up and pretty affordable, although it’s not the cheapest. You can put it outside, in your home or set it up in your garage. It doesn’t take up a lot of space. So, in the same relative space that it would take you to lie down and do sit ups, you can kneel instead and get some good core blasting.

If you do any kind of fitness, you know that the abdominal muscles can be some of the hardest muscles to shape and sculpt. Most people work for hours on just the core, whether it is doing endless cardio, drastically cutting back calories (although a good diet will help shrink your midline) or doing really painful sit-ups that cause strain in the neck and spine. The ab circle pro workouts video DVDs suggest you can get great abs in just 3 minutes a day. Although this is true for people who are already in great shape, it may take a little longer if you have some excess pounds to lose, for me I am sure it will take more than 3 min’s a day.

The ab circle pro machine allows you to protect the spine and neck, and for lots of people, that alone is enough to try it out – have you ever just avoided sit ups altogether due to the pain they cause your lower back? The ab circle helps you to target those same muscles, and more without causing you pain, because really, who is going to stick to an exercise regime that causes them pain? I know I don’t. The spine stays in a neutral position, and undue pressure isn’t placed on the sacrum, or lower spine, so you can work on your abs longer because you aren’t in an uncomfortable position.

In addition to your great core workout, the ab pro circle machine also offers a workout for the rest of the body. It works your shoulders, your biceps, your triceps, your inner and outer thighs, by removing a pin, and keeps your core engaged while your do all of that. If you change your hand grip on the machine, and spend more than three minutes on it, you can also get a great cardio vascular workout which is just as important as building lean muscle. Looking good is great but I suppose it’s important to keep your heart fit too, jeez have I become so vain?

One of the best things about this ab machine is that it is fun and relatively easy to get into. Everyone knows that endless sit-ups can be really mind-numbing. The ab circle pro is another way to attack the ‘problem’ areas of the body, like love handles and a lower belly pouch that really make you feel more confident and walk taller because you have successfully shredded that belly fat. So my ab circle pro review gets a thumbs up.

I’m glad to hear that this machine helps protect the spine. I have a bad back and I need to do a workout that caters to that. I have had a hard time doing crunches because of it. It definitely deters me from continuing a routine when I have a sore back because of it.

The ab circle pro certainly does look more comfortable than just doing a lot of crunches or sit-ups. I’ve found that when I do too many of those my neck gets a bit wonky, so an alternative is great!

I love this machine. I use it 3x a week for my workout. I probably should use it more but I’m still getting good results and I don’t want to overdo it.

I love it when exercise machines are versatile. This one seems to be able to do more than JUST work on my abs, which makes it a better deal, which makes me want to buy it more!

I actually get a lot of pain in my neck when I do sit-ups, which is why I hate doing them! I’d love to be able to skip doing sit-ups altogether.

I am planning to buy this one as I want to trim my legs and my tummy. I am already slim but those parts of my body is not what I wanted to look like so this would help me get fit.

I love that you mention that you can change the workout by taking pins out or changing your grip on the handles. That was one of the questions I had about the Ab Circle Pro. I know that if you don’t vary the workout, it loses much of the effectiveness so it’s good to know that you can make changes in how you use the machine.

I like the fact that it comes with a DVD and is easy on your spine. I tried a neighbor’s and loved it. He’s got a bad back and he says he can finally do something about his abs without pain.

Chuck, those are things I like about it too. I need something that is not going to hurt my spine because I already have other issues with it. There are so many exercises that actually hurt your back more than they help, or so it seems.

I’m glad you mentioned the fun aspect of this machine. So many of the ones on the market don’t offer anything to add to the boredom aspect of doing repetitive moves over and over again. I like that you can change the hand grip easily for more cardio stimulation.

I’m happy to see a new ab machine on the market that doesn’t require you to be in such uncomfortable positions while you’re doing a workout. This one appears to be more variable than others that are so boring to use.

I’ve been looking for a machine I could use to work on my abs. I’ve been needing something within my price range that can go indoors or outdoors on the patio. I also don’t want a huge machine that takes up half the room. This Ab Circle Pro sounds like what I’m looking for.
