Ab pro circle Review – Should you buy this Ab machine?

by Nathan Baxter on August 15, 2011

Ok so here goes my Ab pro circle review, if you are like me, you hate, and I do mean, hate, as in abhor, revile, and detest ab workouts, but I don’t hate working out on Ab pro circle machine. Don’t get me wrong there are still other things I would rather do but device has taken the tedium out of my ab workout. It’s even increasing my performance in the other sports I do as a result of having a stronger core.

Normally, sit ups are just plain obnoxious. Even if you don’t sit all the way up, you inevitably end up tweaking out your neck, or completely straining your lower back. Having suffered from a car accident recently and injuring my spine, the last thing I needed to worry about was further compressing my spinal discs, and straining lower back muscles that were still on lock down from being hit three times in the car accident. I put off doing ab work for a while but then I came across the Ab pro circle machine and thought this may be a safer way to do an ab workout.

I was hesitant at first to buy the Ab pro circle machine, because there have been so many exercise machines and workout equipment sold that ends up just sitting in a closet collecting dust – and not because I’m not an active person. I run, I swim, I hike, and I do yoga and Pilates. I rock climb and weight lift. I’m what you would call a sport freak. After that accident, though, I had to slow down.

If you have ever suffered an injury you know that returning to your former level of activity can be hard. Doing sit ups was the last thing I wanted to do, but I needed to tighten up my middle again after being sedentary during my recovery. I saw an infomercial late one night for Ab pro circle and thought I would try it, the people on the commercial looked really cheesy, but I knew a few things about body alignment and bio-mechanics from taking yoga and Pilates. This thing looked like it could work.

It took a whole two weeks for me to take it out of the box and try it out, but once I got on the thing, I think it actually helped me recover faster. I cringe to think of the tedium, and the monotony of the old sit-up routines I used to do, as you can probably tell I like doing sports more than sit ups, but this I don’t mind doing, it’s more like doing cycling where you can into a rhythm and sort of enjoy the ride, I think it’s as sport like as I am ever going to make my ab workouts, so my ab pro circle review is that if you do genuinely want to do the ab exercise thing then I would say give it a try, I get on ok with it anyway and would buy the machine again.

Ugh, I feel the same way about sit-ups/crunches/etc.! I hate doing them, but at the same time I want to work out those muscles. I think I’ll get an Ab pro circle and see if it works out as well for me as it did for you.

I do consider the monotony of my old routine with my ab workouts and I really think this could help me to vary my routine. I don’t think that I would get bored of it. I’ll think about getting one!

It sounds like a machine I would like. I hate doing crunches even the mild ones. I don’t like to exercise anyway but crunches are my least favorite thing. I may have to invest in one.

I have thought of this machine myself. I do crunches but I would certainly be happy with another option to use. I’m sure it would be a wonderful addition to the exercises I already do.

I would be interested in trying one of these machines. It looks pretty simple to use and seems to give one a good workout as well.

I have a saying if in doubt suck it out, all this exercise seems like too much hard work to me.

I find exercise boring as well, which is why I put off doing it for so long! But the ab circle pro looks like fun.

If think if you can try something like this first it is a very good idea, I know it isn’t always possible, but I think this product does have a free trial through their website, I didn’t need it as I had a go on my friends and knew I could get on with it.

If you have the money then buy it, if you don’t then just do sit ups.

I will stick with stomach crunches as they are much cheaper.

I agree with you on the tedium of doing sit-ups and crunches. The thing, too, is that neither are particularly effective at actually strengthening your core muscles. People think they are but they do not stretch the muscles like the Ab Circle Pro seems to.

I think if you spend money on something like this then you should be motivated to use it. If you think it’ll collect dust start working out on your own until you’re in a routine first.

Doing sit ups and crunches daily is really monotonous. Maybe I can alternate doing sit ups and crunches with this machine so everyday is not as routine as it is.

Ah, someone who feels the same way I do about sit-ups. That has to be one of the most boring things to do on this earth, doesn’t it? And to add insult to injury, they’re really not very effective.

Sit-ups can be such a pain I hate them as well. This new machine though looks like it might help me with my belly fat. I am hoping that will be the case. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for a great review it was very informative. Sit-ups can be a pain, and someone once told me that they really do not exercise your stomach muscles as well as I thought. I have looked at this machine and the reviews like yours are very helpful. Unfortunately, the machine is just too expensive for me.

In my desire to achieve flat abs, I once tried doing sit-ups but it didn’t take long before I gave up. Since then, I have been looking for safer yet effective means to help me reach my goal. I’m going to look into this Ab Pro Machine further.

In my case, I abhor and revile any type of workout but I know that I need to get in shape. The spare tire is starting to make me feel like I’m turning into my father. At least this machine looks like it won’t be dead boring to use.

Sorry about the car accident you were involved in, Nathan. Wishing you a full recovery. // I hate any form of exercise apart from dancing (because it doesn’t feel like I’m exercising at the time). I especially can’t stand sit-ups. I find it tedious and painful. However, if like me you hate doing sit-ups and you like the Ab Circle Pro, I think I might just look into it.

Take care…

This is a really telling review. If you have been in an accident (sorry to hear it, man) and you feel like this equipment has helped you recover, that really says a lot about how useful it is.

I as well dislike doing sit ups to firm my abdomen muscles. Thus, reading this short and honest review of the Ab Pro Circle has convinced me to give it a try. It seems to be a fun way to tune up my abs and not strain my back and neck.
